MATT HOUGHTON is an award-winning filmmaker who has had short films screened at festivals around the world. His film Dear Araucaria, made in partnership with the Guardian, was released in 2015 to much acclaim, winning the Audience Award at Sheffield Doc/Fest. In 2015 he worked as the second unit director on documentary feature Notes On Blindness before being selected to be part of the class of ‘16 on the BFI’s NET.WORK@LFF professional development programme late last year. Matt is represented by Pulse Films.
RUPERT WILLIAMS is a social worker for young people and their families. Qualifying in 2010 from the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, he was subsequently selected for the Young Foundation's Uprising Programme in 2012 for emerging community leaders. He has ten years experience in a number of helping roles including two years at the London Lesbian and Gay Switchboard. As a queer man growing up on a farm in the north of England Rupert is interested in telling stories across different platforms about masculinity, sexuality and identity.
ALISTAIR PAYNE-JAMES is a producer in film, documentary and short form content. Most recently he line produced on Arcade Fire: The Reflektor Tapes and Andrea Arnold’s American Honey which won the Jury Prize at Cannes 2016. He is a Co-Producer on the feature documentary Kingdom Of Us supported by the BFI and Creative England.
JAMES BLANN is an award winning director of photography working in films, commercials and music videos. He graduated from the NFTS in London with the graduation film Room 55, which won the cinematography prize at Camerimage 2014. Since then he has won a cinematography prize at London Calling 2015 for short film Big Dog and has been working in commercials internationally.
GUY THOMPSON is a freelance production designer with over ten years experience in the film and advertising industry. He studied fine art in London and Barcelona. Throughout his career he has had the privilege to work with some of the world's leading artists and filmmaking talent. He is currently focusing on establishing himself in long format drama. Guy is based in London.
LARA MANWARING has worked in casting since 2009 with Des Hamilton Casting on projects such as Lars von Trier’s Nymphomaniac, Paddy Considine’s Tyrannosaur, Channel 4’s Top Boy and Andrea Arnold’s Wuthering Heights. As a Casting Director she has jointly cast projects including Brimstone (starring Dakota Fanning and Guy Pearce), the new Lars Von Trier project The House That Jack Built, and Rachel Tunnard’s Adult Life Skills starring Jodie Whitaker.
ALEX BINGHAM is an award-winning sound designer and composer. His work has been recognised for craft at the Emmys, Creative Circle, Promax BDA, Cannes and nominated at the British Arrows. Alex is represented by Final Cut Audio.
